4th Crusade - 6th Crusade (1202-1229)

Originally intended to aid the Byzantine Empire, the Fourth Crusade was diverted to Constantinople, resulting in the sacking of the city by the Crusaders.

4th Crusade -  6th Crusade (1202-1229)

Outcome: The Fourth Crusade had significant political consequences, weakening both the Byzantine Empire and the Crusader states.

Fifth Crusade (1217-1221
Background: Launched primarily against Egypt, the Fifth Crusade aimed to weaken the Ayyubid Sultanate.
Outcome: The Crusaders briefly captured Damietta but ultimately failed to achieve their goals.

Sixth Crusade (1228-1229):
Background: Led by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II, the Sixth Crusade resulted in a negotiated treaty with the Ayyubids, allowing Christian control over Jerusalem without military conflict.
